How long does window film last?
All our products are guarenteed to last from 5 years to lifetime depending on the film type and location. many of our residential installs have been performing perfectly for 10 or even 15 years.
Will window films damage the surface of our windows?
Absolutely not. We use common detergent-like solutions to apply the film ensuring there is no damage or breakdown to your glazing or window frames.
Does window film effect our view to the outdoors?
We have a variety of products, from clear to tint variations depending on the problem you wish to solve. Our clients find that the greatly improved livability in the space far outweighs any minor shift of colour. And as glare is greatly reduced, you’ll be able to see outside without having to squint or peer through window blinds.
How Do I clean my window film installation?
Windows with film applied are easy to clean without damaging their appearance as long as common-sense guidelines are followed:
- Use a soft, clean cloth, soft paper towel, or clean synthetic sponge.
- Use a soft cloth or squeegee for drying the window.
- Use any normal glass cleaning solution which contains no abrasive materials OR ammonia.
The availability of scratch resistant coatings as a standard feature has virtually eliminated the need for special precautions in the cleaning process.
Will window film really stop fading fabrics?
There are six factors affecting fabric fading:
- Ultraviolet light
- Visible light
- Heat and humidity
- Chemical vapours (including ozone)
- Age of fabric
- Dye fastness
No window film can eliminate fading. It can, however, offer maximum protection from fading due to solar ultraviolet light and solar heat.
Can window reduce ultraviolet (UV) light?
Window films filter 99% of UV – the major cause of fading.
